China Slams 'Defense Of A&N Islands Exercise', Says It Designed To Block China's Access To IOR.
Indian military drills in the Indian Ocean targeting China were irresponsible and a violation of International Law, Chinese experts said.
The recent military exercise conducted in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands was intended to counter China's maritime movements in the Indian Ocean region, Times of India reported Friday.
The "Defense of A&N Islands Exercise," conducted between November 20 and 24, included fighters, heavy-lift transport aircraft, warships, infantry combat vehicles, special forces and regular troops, according to the newspaper's report.
The exercise could be used to design a response to the regular appearance of "Chinese nuclear and conventional submarines" in the Indian Ocean, the report said.
Li Jie, a Beijing-based naval expert, told Global Times the military drill targeting China's right of passage in international waters was irresponsible and narrow-minded, as China has never threatened India's security,
"Chinese vessels including submarines entering the Indian Ocean are completely reasonable and lawful.
China's future actions in the Indian Ocean will not be affected by India," Zhao Gancheng, director of South Asia Studies at the Shanghai Institute for International Studies, told the Global Times on Sunday.
India's navy regularly deploys its Poseidon-8I long-range maritime patrol aircraft and spy drones stationed on the Andaman and Nicobar islands to monitor movements of Chinese ships, said Times of India.
In recent years, China deployed vessels to conduct anti-piracy patrols and escort missions in the Gulf of Aden, as requested by other nations and to meet its UN obligations, noted Li.
"It should be stressed that the Indian Ocean belongs to all mankind, and India's actions are an attempt to turn the ocean into India's territorial waters, which is a violation of International Law," Li said.
Meanwhile, India's army has also ramped up it road building along the Sino-Indian border and purchased road laying machinery, dual track mine detectors and excavators aiming at providing "swift movement of troops whenever necessary,"
according to report of the Indian news agency PTI.
Zhao said that India's confrontational ways of dealing with China are not likely to soften any time soon, and the two countries should enhance communication to develop more mutual trust.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took clear shot at the Opposition Congress today over one of its flagship schemes for rural employment, vowing, "I will ensure MNREGA is never discontinued. It is proof of your failings.
After so many years of being in power, all you were able to deliver is for a poor man to dig ditches a few days a month," said the premier in Parliament today.
Mr Modi said he will ensure that the scheme is fortified. "You will give me credit for this at least - that I have some rajneetik sudhbudh (political acumen)," he said. "This is why MNREGA will stay." Sonia Gandhi, the Congress president, looked on stoically.
MNREGA or the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act promises unskilled manual work to every adult for at least 100 days in rural parts of the country.
It was introduced in 2006 and heralded by the Congress as a landmark reform. Last year, Mr Modi and the BJP decimated the Congress-led coalition government in the national election.

BroadBit has invented and is commercializing a new type of metallic sodium battery in two families: Hi-Energy batteries with twice the energy per weight and Hi-Power batteries with ten times the power as todays lithium-ion batteries.
BroadBits Hi-Power batteries can be fully charged in as little as 5 minutes. BroadBits batteries are made with abundant and cheap raw materials (e.g. table salt) and its manufacturing process is simpler than Li-ion.
With these advantages, BroadBit expects its cost per kWh to be a third that of Li-ion when in mass production. Moreover, initial tests of the technology show no detectable degradation in battery performance over 600 cycles.
This is because, unlike Li-ion, there are no side reactions, dendrite formation or mechanical stress due to ion intercalation.
These innovations, if BroadBit can turn them into mass production and meet their promises, could make mobile devices lighter, faster charging and longer lasting and will finally enable low-cost, high range and convenient electric vehicles including cars, buses, bikes and even
electric air planes and bring about the long awaited post combustion era of transportation.
BroadBit is now scaling production of its proprietary electrolytes, anodes and cathodes and is looking for partners worldwide to assemble batteries from its components.

Mumbai prides itself on being a resilient, make-it-happen, 24 hour city, and no one embodies that spirit more than the Dabbawalas.
Every day, 5000 Dabbawalas (or lunch couriers) deliver 350,000 lunches to their clients in stacked metal lunchboxes.
It is the lunchbox that gives these culinary couriers their name: dabba = luncbox and walla = worker. Each lunchbox is picked up at the client’s home (where it has been filled with home cooked food by a family member) and delivered to the office (still warm, in time for lunch).
On this trip across the megacity, each lunchbox will pass through the hands of at least twelve Dabbawalas, travelling by bicycle, local train, and foot.
This in itself is an incredible enough operation, but what makes it truly remarkable, is the operation’s error margin – an unbelievably low 1 in 6 million.

This Farm of the Future Uses No Soil and 95% Less Water
As urban populations continue to rise, innovators are looking beyond traditional farming as a way to feed everyone while having less impact on our land and water resources.
Vertical farming is one solution that's been implemented around the world. Vertical farms produce crops in stacked layers, often in controlled environments such as those built by AeroFarms in Newark, New Jersey.
AeroFarms grows a variety of leafy salad greens using a process called "aeroponics," which relies on air and mist. AeroFarms' crops are grown entirely indoors using a reusable cloth medium made from recycled plastics.
In the absence of sun exposure, the company uses LED lights that expose plants to only certain types of spectrum. AeroFarms claims it uses 95% less water than a traditional farm thanks to its specially designed root misting system.
And it is now building out a new 70,000 square foot facility in a former steel mill. Once completed, it's expected to grow 2 million pounds of greens per year, making it the largest indoor vertical farm in the world.

For years now, Michigan has been forced to bow down to Islam thanks to politicians like Obama and other Muslim-friendly people.
Under Obama’s disastrous policies, the Muslim population in Dearborn has exploded to roughly 103,000 people according to WXYZ.
Muslims’ only true goal is complete world domination and they won’t stop until they have achieved that dream.
Their holy book teaches them that if you are not one of them, then you deserve to die.
They have no desire to coexist with other religions and people.
They will continue to push their agenda until Sharia Law is enacted in our country.
They have been slowly and quietly trying to enact Sharia Law without anyone knowing it.

Thanks to the liberals’ attempt to create a more diverse America, Muslims have been gaining political power all across the country. People are failing to recognize the dangers of allowing Islamic followers to create laws in our country. Their end goal is to implement Sharia Law, but before they can accomplish that goal, they need to have the numbers here in our country to do so. If you don’t believe it, just check out Europe and especially London. Once enough Muslims moved into the city of London, a Muslim Mayor was elected, and the city began to transform for the worse. Now the city is all but lost, and Muslims have their eye on America.
New Jersey has been slowly transforming into a Muslim paradise, and Prospect Park is following in London’s footsteps by recently electing a Muslim Mayor who has decided to turn the town into a “sanctuary city.” Sanctuary cities are illegal in the U.S., but that hasn’t stopped Mayor Mohamed T. Khairullah from signing an executive order declaring the borough a sanctuary for illegal immigrants and Muslims.
By allowing the borough to be a sanctuary city, there is no proper way to screen immigrants and Muslims streaming into the area. It is a perfect place for would-be terrorists to set up shop and stay completely under the radar. What this mayor has done is essentially an act of war. He has taken it upon himself to break American law and set up a breeding ground for dangerous Muslims.

Syrian-born Mayor Mohamed T Khairullah signed an executive order Friday declaring the borough a sanctuary for immigrants.
The order signed Friday allows equal protection treatment for all borough residents, regardless of immigration status. The move comes one week after President Donald Trump signed an executive order barring refugees from seven majority-Muslim countries, including Syria, from entering into the U.S.
“It is important to me as a person who came to the U.S as an immigrant, that we uphold our laws and values,” Khairullah said Saturday. “The U.S is the land of opportunity and dreams for many people all over the world.”
“No department, committee, agency, commission, officer or employee of the Borough of Prospect Park shall use any Borough funds or resources to assist in the enforcement of Federal Immigration Law,” the order reads.
Trump has signaled that he plans to take away federal funds from municipalities that declare themselves as immigrant sanctuaries but Khairullah said he that wasn’t a factor in Prospect Park.
“We are in a unique position that we don’t rely on federal funding,” Khairullah said. “Even if we were in that position, we would try to figure something out.”
Khairullah joins the ranks of other New Jersey mayors, such as Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop, who have vowed to continue to protect immigrants.
Prospect Park’s order recalls the borough’s history, founded by Dutch immigrants, and the continued diversity of its population. About a third of borough residents are foreign-born, according to Census data.
Khairullah was born in Syria and fled the country as a child. He later arrived in the United States in 1991. His political career started in 2001 when he was elected as a councilman in the borough. He has now served as the mayor for 11 years.
Khairullah, who has criticized Trump for his anti-immigrant stance, has also called out Gov. Chris Christie for his similar stance on Syrian refugees.
Whether or not the new Muslim mayor disagrees with President Trump, it doesn’t give him the right to go against federal law. It is only a matter of time until the town is completely transformed and becomes another London. Of course, New Jersey is not the only state facing a crisis like this. Michigan has been overrun by Muslims for years and the state is on the brink of having a Muslim Governor.
If a mayor can cause so much chaos in one town, just imagine what a Muslim Governor has planned for the state. We have laws in place for a reason, and those laws are there to protect the American citizens that count on our leaders to keep them safe. We are entering a dangerous time in America and if the people don’t act soon we will be facing a crisis unlike what this country has ever seen.
The Lockheed AC-130 gunship is a heavily armed, long-endurance ground-attack variant of the C-130 Hercules transport fixed-wing aircraft. Unlike other military fixed-wing aircraft, the AC-130 relies on visual targeting. The airframe is manufactured by Lockheed Martin, while Boeing is responsible for the conversion into a gunship and for aircraft support. Developed during the Vietnam War as 'Project Gunship II', the AC-130 replaced the Douglas AC-47 Spooky, or 'Gunship I'. The sole operator is the United States Air Force, which uses the AC-130U Spooky and AC-130W Stinger II variants for close air support, air interdiction, and force protection, with the AC-130J Ghostrider in development. Close air support roles include supporting ground troops, escorting convoys, and urban operations. Air interdiction missions are conducted against planned targets and targets of opportunity. Force protection missions include defending air bases and other facilities. AC-130Us are based at Hurlburt Field, Florida, while AC-130Ws are based at Cannon AFB, New Mexico; gunships can be deployed worldwide. Once the seedlings have grown to a height of about 8cm the end bud begins to appear, becoming longer, until the beginnings of new leaves start to show. At 10 or 12days after germination the cotyledons begin to wither and the end bud begins to sprout. Crops which are grown under plastic are subject to the kind of temperatures and humidity that favour the spread of diseases. In order to overcome this, pumpkin pattern grafting is carried out due to its morphological and physiological affinity to the majority of watermelon varieties grafted. This creates a resistance towards Fusarium wilt and other fungus found in the soil. The time lapse between sowing and transplanting varies between 30 to 40 days from the point of initial sowing in seedbeds. Seedlings should be transplanted into the soil with the root balls in tact; as this plant cannot stand to be transplanted with bare roots. Holes are made with a hoe or a dibber. Once the root ball has been set in place it is covered with soil and watered, which helps to stabilize the plants and facilitates the root taking process. One month after nascence the watermelon will begin to develop trailing stems and show the beginnings of stalks that branch out. A second watering should be carried out 10 or 12 days after this takes place. Once watermelon plants are showing several leaves, some superficial work needs to be done in order to get rid of weeds and so that the technique known as ridging may be carried out. There are two methods of pruning which are appropriate for watermelons cultivated in greenhouses. The first requires action as soon as the plant begins to grow, which means that as soon as 4 or 6 true leaves appear, they should be de-budded above the leaf, causing the axial bud of this leaf to be pinched. The same process is repeated with the secondary branches. In this way the adult plant will have two stalks that grow out from the main stem and four secondary shoots. With the second method only the two main branches are left to begin with. When these branches have 5 to 6 leaves, de-budding is carried out above the third leaf so that four secondary branches are allowed to form.

in the form of several majestic towering temples all over Japan still standing to this day.

India to Enter 70 Gb/s High Speed Internet Era with ISRO''s New Satellites Launch
Despite India overtaking the U S last year to become the world's second largest internet user base after China, India is still behind many Asian countries when it comes to internet speed.
But things are set to change in the next 18 months when Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) plans to start an age of high-speed internet in the country with the launch of three communication satellites.
Isro will launch three communication satellites. the GSAT-19 satellite will be launch in June this year and then GSAT-11 satellite and at the last GSAT 20 satellite.
These satellites will use multiple spot beams (a special kind of transponder that operates on a high frequency) that will increase internet speed and connectivity. These multiple spot beams will cover the entire country." A spot beam is a satellite signal that is specially concentrated (sent by a high-gain antenna located on the satellite) so that it covers only a limited geographic area on earth.
The narrower the beam, more is the power. The three satellites will reuse "beams" (signals) several times over smaller areas. In contrast, traditional satellite technology uses a broad single beam to cover wide regions.
These new satellites, once operational, will be capable of providing high-quality internet, phone and video services." the effective data rate of earlier-launched GSAT satellites is one gigabyte per second.
GSAT-19, on the other hand, will be able to transfer data at four gigabytes per second, thus making it equivalent to four satellites. " GSAT 11 is One of the heaviest satellites ever to be built by ISRO, will be launched by the year end. It will be able to transfer data at the rate of 14 gigabytes per second. GSAT-20, whose launch is set at the end of 2018.
This satellite will have data rate of 60-70 gigabytes per second. The GSAT 19 satellite will use eight beams, while GSAT 11 satellite will use 16 beams and GSAT 20 satellite will use 40 beams.
Each beam will have two polarisations, which will effectively make them 80 beams.
The number of internet users in India is expected to reach 450-465 million by June 2017, around 4 to 8% increase from 432 million in December 2016, according to a report from the Internet and Mobile Association of India.
